Roadmap capacity planning What fits this quarter, what waits, and why.
A ranking says what matters most. A roadmap says what fits. Weivo fits the ranking to the capacity you actually have and shows the cut, so the deferred list is a reason, not a disappointment.
One capacity, one period, one bar
Enter the capacity per planning period, in hours or points. The capacity bar shows every planned feature against the line, must-haves first, with the deferred work hatched beyond it. The plan table lists what fits with its share of the capacity; the deferred table lists what does not, each with the hours it would have needed.
Two strategies, stated in plain terms
Maximize value fills the capacity with the set of features whose total weighted value is highest. Maximize delivery fits as many features as the capacity holds, with value deciding between plans of the same size. The settings card says what switching would add and drop, so the choice is informed rather than guessed.
Force an item in and see what it displaces
Every deferred row has Force into plan. It marks the feature as a must-have, recomputes the plan, and moves whatever it displaced to the deferred list. That is the whole "what if we just did it" conversation, answered in a click.
Does this work without stakeholders?
Yes. Direct planning ranks features by must, should and could against effort with no voting, and gets the same roadmap.
What do must-haves do?
They go into the plan first under either strategy. If the must-haves alone exceed the capacity, the tab says so before anything else is placed.
